The House of St John’s was originally designed by Victorian architect Edward Blore, best known for his contributions to the design of Buckingham Palace. Commissioned by Derwent Coleridge, the son of the poet Samuel Taylor Coleridge, it was completed in 1841 to serve as the Chapel of the College of St Mark.
The chapel later became a 15,000 square foot office before being refurbished for developer Tenhurst and transformed into two luxury homes. St John’s is now an 8,000 square foot family home, featuring generous two storey living space, a swimming pool, cinema, gym, and a split level master suite that takes advantage of the fully restored rose window.
